i'm going to be in Stafford next week for my cytech course.. any recommendations as to what to do on an evening. Real Ale pubs would be quite nice ๐Ÿ˜€

Joxer Brady's, The Sun, Pie and Ale.. Theres a few more but I can't remember the names, think one might be a Wetherspoons where Apres used to be..

Are you taking your bike and some lights?
Cannock is just 20 minutes driving from stafford.

Second The Sun, the ham hock is nice there and local Titanic ales are alright to.
Where are you doing the course out of interest?

There is also the Greyhound Inn too, only been once but they have quite a few ales on, Hope its still open..

Get into Salt, just outside Stafford past the university. I can't remember its name but the pub there is great (and generally pretty rammed so ring ahead if you want to eat there). Tis very good.

thanks for the suggestions..will try and check out a few ale houses. Is there a night ride round Cannock organised at all?
Cytech course is at ATG training on the Tollgate Industrial Estate.

Put a post on chase trails for the night ride there's usually a some group ride going on, or check out Mammoth bike shops web site. they are based at Milford common, think theres a group ride from there once or twice a week ๐Ÿ™‚

Spittal Brook Inn is a very good ale pub on the Lichfield Road. Barley Mow at Milford is good for a pint after a ride too - Gary Foord's bike shop (Mammoth) is next door.
