In Milton Keynes next week for some training - Anything much to do in the evening?

Oh and anywhere cheap and cheerful to eat - decent curry house for preference.

Even a half decent gym/swimming pool would do.

MK bowl on Tuesday nights if you're a capable roadie.

No bike with me - I've never ski'ed/snowboarded - I'm tempted to give that a go actually.

whorehouse - been married too long to bother with that palaver...

I have a hire car - I'm staying in old stratford.

Ski lessons take a day for a full on beginner and I only have the evenings.

Pool at wolverton is just around the corner - that's a couple of evenings sorted then.

Stony stratford is nice for a few beers (Cock Hotel or Bull) and The Crown is good for food too. For an Indian try the Calcutta Brasserie and I like the Peking for a chinese but there is quite a few about that are also good.

Many thanks all - swimming 2-3x coupled with a few lazy beers and then on alternate nights I'll be helterskelter/sanctuary.

+1 For Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford cracking curry house.

The Swan in Old M.K. village is good if you want decent pub grub.

When I was last in MK (to install a climbing wall at x-scape) we discovered the sainsburys had miss-priced some top of the range Rioja. Much of it was consumed.

I do realise this is far from helpful...
