Flying tomorrow, staying for just one night. Was thinking of getting the Metro into the centre to see the Duomo cathedral and see what food and drink is around there. Am I missing a better evening elsewhere?

Malpensa or Linate? If the former I’d go hang out in Gallarate. Some really nice eateries there and we’ll off the beaten tourist track. If the latter I’d do as you suggest but the restaurants round there are well geared towards the tourist too. There was another thread on here recently with some good reccos!

Hire a Vespa, grab some unsuspecting drop dead gorgeous girl off the street and whizz around whilst wearing mirror sunglasses.

Then drop her off at her boyfriends on the way round..

We just wandered north from the Duomo through the park and found a few nice bars and restaurants there. I had the best Risotto ever. Very friendly city.

Go up on top of the Duomo if you're still allowed to (and assuming you're there in the day).

One night should be plenty, not my favourite city.

Depends how sexy you are. Too much then go elsewhere but probably not New York or Japan.
