Any ideas for some fairly basic software that would let me make simple changes to artwork files, and save them in a different format? I need to get customers' logos silk screened onto my company's products, and the files I receive aren't always acceptable for the people making the screen. If I could mod them myself it would save a lot of hassle.
Changes are usually to make coloured backgrounds transparent, save .ai files as .eps files with fixed dimensions, or to remove spurious elements.
Any suggestions gratefully received,
thanks,
rogg.
Try Inkscape (it's free).
I've just read the FAQs and Inkscape seems to be exactly what I'm after, so I'll download it and have a play.
Thanks very much, another STW success - I owe you a beer...
