I need a new Freeview HD recorder but it needs to be small. Don't need too many features but iPlayer would be a bonus. As ever cheaper is better. What's out there?

Anyone use a Bush b500dtr? Seems to tick every box and gets good reviews but it's a Bush which doesn't exactly inspire confidence

Plenty of BT Youview boxes on eBay, the later one is very compact and quiet. We've used one for a couple of years, has all the main catch-up apps and Netflix.

No need for BT subscription at all, everything except their extra content works perfectly without one.

Plenty of BT Youview boxes on eBay,

I might have a brand-new one given that BT have ballsed up my order and have sent me two Home Hubs and two Youview+ boxes in the past week.

That does look pretty good. Very interested Martin. Email in profile if you want to come up with a price.

I'll have to wait a few days to make sure they don't want it back. First one didn't seem faulty though, they just haven't turned on my subscription channels!
