[Closed] what should i be eating to help my body heal faster?
i could google, but how boring would that be?
after a tumble on monday, ripping/tearing the ligaments, tendon and muscle in my shoulder rendering me nigh on useless i was wonderng what i can do to get myself up and running (and earning) again...
the doc said four weeks before i should think about going back to work. when i told him i was a chippy/joiner he sucked air through his teeth and said it might be longer, it might not.
now i don't want to rush things and exasperate the problem by doing things too early. as it is getting up out of bed is agony. i can't lift anything with my arm as that pulls my shoulder around. i can not imagine being able to independently lift my arm to chest height, let alone above my head.
i have been moving my arm as much i can before the pain kicks in.
what food stuffs are required to help the body repair itself?
cheers!
Good clean protein. Fish, chicken etc. Blueberries are brilliant too.
keep hydrated and its probably important to keep icing the area. Other than that and anti inflamatories theres little you can do for a bit until its settles I imagine but you want to start with some mobility exercises at an appropriate point to help with the healing.
Stand away from the pies
HGH
Get some physio. The lateral coloured elastics worker for me.
A really healthy person.
Lots, I'd say, but no junk.
Just healthy I'd say - proteins and fresh stuff.
