We will be in touch
Just me and Netflix tonight, with an Indian takeaway. Pick me a meal:

Whatever you get it’ll be best as a lamb and spinach dish.
That menu is awful! Through lack of options for me it would have to be a vegetable jalfrezi with a side of saag aloo.
Capsilla sounds nice 👍
Prawn dhansak, pilau rice and tarka dal (ask for it thick), with a few poppadums.

Village Style Begon - £7.25

Murgh Massala, side of daal, chapatis, 8 bottles of cobra
Scalp and chips.
The till.

1 x Chana Massala

Definitely something with Lamb and Spinach.
Lighter chicken based starter.
Get a curry. That's usually a good bet from an Indian.
Ask the chef if he's got anything off menu. That is my usual approach and more often than not they have something a bit different and I've had some of the nicest Indian dishes I've ever had.
Lamb tikka karahi
Even if it's not on the menu. As above, ask them what to try. My local does the most sublime stuff if you ask to go a little off piste.
Bloody Heck...I almost see an agreement on STW (or at least an overlap of opinion that is almost a first). I was going to suggest a meat veg bhuna. This is my default option (along with fish masala) at the Kashmir in Bradford. So yeah....lamb with some veg or spinach. Best type of curry going. Given that we have all agreed on the approximate curry type can we at least disagree on bread and rice? Personally I am a chapatti guy. But I know many of you prefer naans or even flippin rice! A really doza choice. 🙂
Keema naan is always a tremendous idea, except it’s pretty much a meal on its own.
Lamb tikka karahi
Excellent choice. It's the chicken tikka masala for the curry connoisseur.
Chana Massala
Very strong side dish game here.
Orrr... as has been previously mentioned, just ask what they think their best curry is. If they take your question seriously then you'll be getting the good stuff. Went to a curry house for years in Manchester and just ordered "another one of those lamb and mince curry things please".
The Indian what?
Chicken jalfresi, garlic naan, pilau rice. Maybe some tandoori meats if they do it.
Fark, it's 9am here and I want a curry now. Barstool
Dhansak if it's a new takeaway. Hardest dish to get right. Sort that out and you're good for life.
A bow. It's preferable to an arrow.
I usually get a king prawn masalla but ask them to make it madras hot (and can't do without a keema naan ofc). Creamy curry might not be authentic but it tastes better than the other stuff :p
I always find lamb hugely disappointing in takeaways. It's never cooked long enough, it should be melting.
Well, I know you’ll all be keen to know what I had. The menu was
- Special biryani (as recommended by a colleague over from India, who said it was excellent, I figured he should know)
- Dhall sambar
- Peshwari naan
It was delicious, I’m having the leftovers for lunch.
