Draughtsman - I put composite windows into holes, make sure they stay put and don't leak.

Only started earlier this year, before that it was 3D modelling and CNC programming.

Work in oil and gas. I was offshore for a wee while but at Leith docks just now doing pipe coatings. Ruff, tuff stuff. I also used to hurt folk badly as well - I liked that job.

I'm an 'engineer'. [how non-descript!]

I basically price and deliver additional works on top of our contracted scope which is the main profit maker for the company i work for.

Fairly boring when there's not much on.

I own/run/manage a classic car restoration/race prep business (fab fun), and an estate management services company (shite - no work about).

But really, I most enjoy chopping trees down >cue "I'm a lumberjack" jokes<

Bank breaking, stock gambling, expenses defrauding over paid paramedic... I wouldn't bother trying to be one, there's no jobs, no development, no future and no decent pension in it, also you end up highly trained to do nothing but paramedic work, anything else clinical requires retraining.

If I could do it all again I'd be a plumber. At least my toilet would work!

Lucky physiotherapist here waiting to get my gold plated pension when I'm about 70 but enough of that.

Full time NHS, great team and enjoy the job but I'm getting increasing disillusioned with the NHS ...

Course is extremely difficult to get on, especially as there are no course fees to pay

I help anyone who pays me to become stronger, slimmer, faster, harder, and sometimes to win more stuff by advising either them or their team or various companies in sport about training, mental skills and nutrition. From average people to professionals and polo to F1. Quite competitive and lots work is gained by contacts and referrals. I enjoy the actual work but not the cash-flow challenges and admin kind of stuff that comes with being self employed. But reckon I'm pretty much unemployable.

Various sides to my job... At its most basic, I'm a degree salesman- helping run open days, student visits and such. At the other end, we get people into university who otherwise wouldn't- sorting out visa issues, helping students get scholarships etc, or linking up with colleges to get their graduates into degree courses (which should happen a lot more than it does) And a load of dull admin stuff to keep all that going.

Happy with it? Yeah, when it's good it's good. In fact when it's best, it's fantastic- graduation days etc. At worst, it's boring, but never actually bad. But I'm pretty aware I'm getting paid drastically less than I should (or, possibly, doing work I shouldn't be) which is a wee bit of a downer.

Chugger?

No, would it help if I add I don't wear any knickers?

I find out what people are thinking. It's not as exciting as it sounds, but it's not as boring as you'd think.

I can't decide on the best response to this.
- yes, yes it does
- are you *actually* a lady?
- I always wondered if the chuggers actually interesting; now I know they are
- surely that's got to be unhealthy on the bike

Involved in making simulators for drilling holes. Mainly involves tweaking existing models or adding small amounts of extra functionality to the code base and understanding lots of odd work arounds.
