Warm Dorset Apple Cake - with clotted cream Yummmm

Once had a version in a pub in Dorset - made with very, very large blackcurrants instead of apple.

Cake? Mmmmm. Marmalade cake.

has to be carrot cake
or fruit slice
.....or maybe battenburg
but not forgetting victoria sponge
and of course Banana Bread.. but is that bread or cake???

If there's a tray with carrot cake and chocolate cake it will take me about 10 minutes to decide. 8 out of 10 times I'll go with the carrot.

My wife does a white choc cheescake into which go frozen rasberries. Its somewhat calorie laden though, with two large bars of white choc & seemingly tubs & tubs of full-fat Philadelphia & double cream.

Can't believe nobody has suggested Victoria sponge, the Queen of cakes.

Best seem to be exclusive to National Trust cafes.

I think someone liked those cinnamon rolls (obviously you mean "swirls") a little too much 😯
