I had a quick bowl this morning before riding off to work, and I have a taste in my mouth like something died in it.

Tesco's own cheerios are better.

I resent that D_S 👿

I have almost never pooed in a box of cheerios, and very very rarely would they not be my own

Tesco's own cheerios are better.

Asda's version are known as 'horrid hoops' in our house.

What you mean like a whole f*ckload of African kids poisoned by Nestle formula milk?

I prefer fruit loaf for breakfast.

A 'horrid hoop' means something quite different in my house.

Now, you see, if I was eating kids' junk food for breakfast I'd expect it to taste great (but dirty).

You've been robbed. Take Kelloggs/Nestlé/whoever to court for stealing from your inner child.

I have been tasked with eating the Asda ones as our kids won't touch them. I haven't tried the Tesco ones.

They aren't that bad actually - they are recommended eating for kiddies and are relatively healthy.

relative to what? at 20% sugar I doubt you could find much worse.

who recommended them, krusty the clown?

The people that make them, if you're going off that link. I'm shocked!

My favourite, which my mum would never let us have when we were growing up, was 'Froot Loops'. That's right: 'froot'.

The most delicious coloured sugar with vague tropical fruit falvours you could possibly imagine. First thing I did when I move away from home was to buy myself a box and eat it.

The sugar made my mouth bleed, but at least there was no aftertaste!

I did say relatively. And even Special K has 17% sugaring carbs...

Pages 12 and 13 here show that Cheerios ARE relatively healthy...
