what is this moth?

My son spotted it on his trampoline netting, approx 3.5" long, it stayed all day and then by chance i saw it take off at dusk.

Looks some sort of Hawk Moth.

Could be Privet?

Looks like a privet hawk moth to me too. We had one of the caterpillars in our front garden. Fat bugger it was! Not my picture though.

It's a baby mothra, better check for lizards as well.
