I've got a mate who's a dealer in second hand vinatge stuff, he sold Franz Ferdinand their guitars etc.

What are you selling?

Not mega-vintage but a very nice '83 JV series strat and a '70s Morley Pro Flanger

I've got loads of Strat parts sitting around - I'd rather not use Ebay but would prefer use a STW type guitar site.

Shall we start one?

I've been thinking the same. I've got a not so vintage (early 90's) Musicmann Stingray thats doing nothing.

Perhaps we should put it to Chipps as he's a fellow guitarist!

"Oi Chipps! - How about it?"

What is the bike-guitar connection? Everything I own of value is either a bike or guitar-related (including amps). Only other things I spend money on are primarily food and shelter.

I know I'm not alone. At Interbike a few years ago I saw that Fender had a booth. I asked the guy why, and he said, "Do you own a guitar?"

"Sure."

"That's why we're here."

how about Harmony Central classifieds? a few mates of mine post on the forums there regularly and they've bought/sold vintage tube amps there; i'm sure you'd get a good target market for guitars and pedals too.

OK, I'm a bit late to this thread - but why not just post it here on the Classifieds? There's 30,000 or so folk through here every day and, just like the busker who plays 'Happy Birthday' in the tube station every day, with those numbers, you're bound to hit on a winner ๐Ÿ™‚

I've bought and sold several guitars on here. And I know many bike bods who are into guitars too - I'm slowly working on a photo essay of bike people and their guitars (Ross Shafer, Paul 'Rock Lobster' Sadoff, Dave DKG - and many more...) - though I suspect only I'm going to be interested in the finished product.

Still got the JV Strat then?
