Re the budget & stamp duty cuts.

Sounds obvious - but is it? What happens if you had a mortgage, sold up and went back into rented. What about if your buying as a couple and only one of you has had a mortgage....etc??

Listening to R4 today. If either of you has been on the property ladder at all at any point, your not eligible.

No born again first time buyers!

Is exactly what it means if either have bought before then you are not first time buyer. If this is the case then just one of you buy house and remortgage in a few years in both names.

Bugger.

So how do they police it? Running credit checks over people?

If a first time buyer can afford £250k do they need help? Yet another moronic idea from the shambles that dare to call themselves our Government.

THe "expert" talking on BBC news earlier said it was to do with the Land registary. If you have been on it you have owned a home so you're not eligable.
