Isopropyl alcohol, available from most chemists although some may refuse to sell it to you.
it's also known as isopropyl alcohol
Boots should have it altho I'm sure it would be behind the counter.

I thought it was diluted Isopropyl alcohol
surgical spirits
i was gonna try turps ๐ so maybe a good job i asked lol
you used to be able to buy it at the local hardware shop also, but I'm sure those days are gone...along with the local hardware shop.

cos i know what rubbing alcohol is used for.......... ๐
I accidentally dropped a black marker pen on a new pair of jeans, did an internet search on how to get marker pen off, it came up with rubbing alcohol.
Didnt know what it was either so I tried turps, worked a treat!! ๐
lol no tony its to clean a metal surface before applying a coating ๐
I got some off ebay.
You can get tins of it in maplin.
You can get surgical spirits off the shelf in Boots. I buy it to sterilise my razors.
Or Maplin... They sell it as "contact cleaner", but read the label looking for, as has already ben said, Isopropyl alcohol.
Good luck!
