Just arranged for some friends to come round tonight for light drinkies and a modicum of grub. Usual suspect would be the local Chinese takeaway, but as I'm WFH today I have a chance to grab some grub and gain some precious brownie points from SWMBO.
Was thinking some frites as centrepiece of my culinary expertise - 1 bowl topped with cheese, 1 with chilli, 1 with cheese n chilli.
What options can the STW hive mind give me. Rules are: must be easy to make - oven preferred (we have 4 toddlers to put to bed whilst prepping this!). Cheap is always good. No shellfish or owt pongy. Comfort food is usually a winner!
Any pointers gratefully appreciated.
