Wild Boar?

Just discovered that the scary reflecting eyes in the dark the other night belonged to that of a wild boar, a meat that I'm quite fond of. What method of dispatch does the slaughterofwildanimalstrackworld collective suggest?

The only fair way would be man to boar wrestle with only teeth as weapons

A10 Thunderbolt, affectionately known as the warthog....

This one appears to be flying through some very localised cloud....ahem...

[img] [/img]

and this one has been painted to look just like a warthog. Uncanny...

The proper advice from the Home Office is nothing under .270win

.308 or .300WSM would both be more than enough with a decent bullet weight, you'd need a boar or AOLQ variation on your FAC though

if you want to be really fancy then 6.5 swede is the calibre do jour

or if you can get away with it and have some money, then .375 Holland and Holland 8)

Amazing skill demonstrated below:

Just order a TV from Amazon and see what turns up.

Minigun. Will cut it into bitesized morsels before you cook it, great for stir frys!

Holland and Holland .750 Nitro Express will sort out a Bore with no concerns... Even a Rhino if there happens to be one in the area and you fancy a slightly exotic snack.

Make a spear, it worked for a bunch of school kids stuck on an island then start a fire with your mates glasses who just happens to be nicknamed Piggy to cook it on.

A Kiwi mate I used to play rugby with regularly went "pig sticking" back in NZ; he used dogs to hold the boar then killed it with a knife.

This

When I started shooting I bought one of these, it's a Colt Python .357 Magnum, 8" barrel with scope and one of the US gun mags went out Wild Boar shooting with one of these and I always always wanted go over there and have a go. You have to get very close as even the .357 is just about good enough to drop a good "tusker"
