Singletrack subscription is what I asked for. Generally if I want/need something then I buy it. A subscription is the sort of thing that I wouldn't buy for myself.

Having said all that I`ll probably end up getting clothes.

I want a Korg Minilogue or Monologue.

I read that as Kylie Minogue at first! I'd be happy waking up to that on Christmas day. I doubt she would though....

Ask them to put it to charity instead. either pick a charity or let them chose. I get a couple of token pressies value of around a tenner and the rest to famine charities

I usually do this too but this year I've asked for a halo, a sack cloth and some stale bread.

Since sneezing particularly hard and losing (a plastic implanted) one behind the red wine section in Asda, all I really want for Christmas is my two front teeth

What I want: Happiness. What I am likely to get: Not happiness.

I'll take some nice socks instead though.

Mountain rescue is my usual beneficiary for things like this

Already got them GaryM

We have reached a situation in my family that all of us have everything we want and need. So pressies are either duplication or unwanted. A couple of things I was given last year went straight to the charity shop. At least only a tenner was wasted and the charities got something out of it

Yep same, here. The few things we get given end up in the local charity shop!

Of course.
You should see what some people wear in first class these days, it's a disgrace.

Anyone have a picture that illustrates my point?

We're away for xmas this year so it's going to be a low key affair (as the holiday is expensive)

In general I like experiences rather than things, as I usually just buy the latter.

My wife bought me a couple of camping meals for my last birthday, as well as some energy bar type things, on the basis that I should go away for the weekend somewhere. This is the sort of thing that I like, as I also get to get to keep the memory, and it has more 'value' than the cost

I got some coaching from Jedi one xmas, was ace

EDIT - for my birthday a few months back I did get loads of things which were all useful and needed, but I'd had a birthday list running for ages in the run up to that!
