Get in from work about 6:30 give or take, change, eat hang out with the kids, put them to bed about 8 then veg out I front of the to from 8:30-9 til 10 then go to bed. Nothing interesting in the week these days, but if I find shed work earlier I'd be back racing kayaks for sure.

My evenings are mostly made up of change baby for bed, read baby story, cooking, eating, tv, or computer. I a few months when mini CD stops breast feeding I can add putting her too bed in to the mix. In the summer I used to ride or garden in the eve but I guess I've never really fully utilised them.

..... on CFH's carpet.

That explains why it's so sticky all the time. Every time I run naked through his living room (when they're all asleep) I get sticky feet 🙁

Tonight I cooked dinner for three of us, helped my daughter with her homework, washed up then drove into town to pick up my son and his friend from diving. Got back home, heated up his dinner and did some more washing up. I've just sat down and put Let it Bleed on the turntable. I'll listen side one then finish washing up before deciding on side two. I'm reading Bill Brysons book on 1927 but it's taking a long time as I usually only manage 4 or 5 pages before falling asleep. My other half has just started teaching so I'm effectively a single parent at the moment. I'm considering going out on my bike tomorrow even though the weather looks biblical as it's the only chance I'll get.

Mostly sit staring vacantly at the TV occasionally talking with MrsWCA
Sometimes dreaming up crazy/inspired ideas such as:
Big Bike Bash
Southampton Bike Oark
Designing and building a car
Designing and building a cabin with sauna and hot tub.
Baby Bike Bash

Try to get home in time to see the kids, bedtime around 7.15-7.30

Then have dinner, walk the dog, watch TV, faff about with a few bits

I set up webcams in CFH's house and sell the recordings for a small fortune,if only the editing didn't take so long.

Come in from work.
Have dinner.
Read stories.
Put kids to bed.
Go downstairs.
Go back upstairs.
Put kids to bed again.
Get glass of water for kids.
Put kids to bed again.
Get special teddy for kids.
Put kids to bed again.
Go downstairs.
Go back upstairs and shout at kids.
Give up and go to bed.

Sometimes we throw in a little housework just to keep things interesting.

I guess that's what I've got to look forward to - at the moment our little dude is in a cotbed so can't escapte (yet) but that doesn't stop him standing up and throwing stuff out. Or waking up.

At the moment, I'm on bedtime duty Mondy, Wednesday and Friday. I ride or run Tuesday and Thursdays.

I'm in about 6, the other half arrives home slightlty after with the little dude who then runs about untidting anything I've tidied up before they get home. About half six it's bath time then story, milk and bed. At the moment I'm trying to do some exercise once he's in bed - weights or turbo. After that its shower, dinner and in bed for 10-ish as he's up anyime from 5.

why have my kids never done this?
They have a story, and then a glass of milk and then they go to bed

and go to sleep.. at the same time every night

BoardinBob

3:00 p.m: rise
3:05: Chivas Regal with the morning papers, Dunhills
3:45: cocaine
etc etc

Carry on like that and you'll be dead by 67

weekday evening, 60-90 minute ride home, shower, dinner with the fam, fill dishwasher, make lunches for next day, get kit out for next day, do any bike tweaking, sit down, watch a bit of tv, chat with any family member that wants to speak to me (usually a cat) :), bed around 10, read for a bit. Exciting isn't it. The weekend is far more rock 'n' roll.

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

I've also dropped from 1 hour+ commutes to 30 mins and trying to work out what to do with all the extra time.
So far, it's more exercise, wasting time surfing and STW and generally enjoying having more time to get things done whilst still being able to get a full night's sleep by going to bed at a decent time instead of still rushing around at 11pm trying to get my to-do list finished...

General routine is feed kids, do homework with kids, bath kids, put kids to bed, give kids a cuddle, put kids back to bed (this could continue for some time), tidy kitchen and wash up, do the odd bits and bobs I need to do for myself, sit on the sofa, bed.

Once upon a time an occasional night ride figured in all this but that seems to have gone out the window this year. One night a week I'm away with work and perhaps once or twice a month I have a mid-week trip to the local ale house. Too much time is spent in the house in general 🙁

I go that. It was for the benefit of the rest. Although he did kill himself so we can't really blame the drugs...

**** all at the moment apart for DIY. Often a trip to the cinema with a BOGOF code makes for a cheap evening, and despite having netflix at home it's nice to go see a film without the distraction of a phone, laptop, dinner, etc.
