What connectors for 2 sheets of plywood?

I am making up a couple of baize covered board game table toppers.

Basically, a sheet of plywood on 4 plinth feet.

I want the option to be able to join the 2 together for games that require more space with a temporary but sturdy connections.

Thinking of some kind of sprung clip or maybe just a hook and eye? Not sure if the hook and eye would be tight enough?

I had a look on Screwfix and couldn't see anything that look suitable?

Any suggestions?

A button-fix or a keku might do it. They aren't designed for that orientation but there are various mounts so you might be able to make it work

Is it just to stop the tables moving apart slightly, or are you expecting to be able to dance on the join?

If just the first one and the two tables are level with each other, I'd use a few claw/toggle latches underneath.

Would something like 2 of theseย swing catches work? I have something similar on my dining table and it keeps the sections together really well.

Thanks all.

All look like viable options.

@nickjb - Those Keku fixings look just the part.
