We will be in touch
Just wondering what camera cases folks use for their small cameras while they are riding. Do you stick it in a bag, hang it on a belt, attach it to a rucksack strap? Anyone found anything waterproof?
I've always just stuck it in my bag but interested if there are better ways
I use a Lowe Pro Apex case. They different sizes depending on your camera. I've got the 20aw.
It can Velcro onto a rucksack strap, which is what I do but I also bought a carabiner style clip to add to it as a back-up.
Its got a built in waterproof cover that hides away...
Does Peak Design Capture Pro count?
Been flawless for rock climbing, winter mountaineering, XC riding, hillwalking, via ferrata and what not. Yes, your camera gets wet&muddy (Peak Design Camera Shell works decently), but otherwise it's great. Saves me a lot of time and hassle as I wouldn't bother taking as many pics otherwise.
My rx100 fits in a lowepro dashpoint 20, goes on the shoulder strap pretty sturdily. Can get the camera out and shoot one handed fairly easy. If the weather gets really shitty I'll chuck it in the bag.
Cheers folks. Got a Lowe Pro for a work camera but couldn't find one on their site with waterproof cover so thanks for the tip on the AW 20. Will check out the dashpoint as well
Vaude Epoc pouch is nice for a small camera, or a phone.

The Peak Design Capture works for a bigger camera (Micro 4/3).
Dashpoint on shoulder strap as per flashy when riding with a pack. TBH iPhone tends to be the camera these days that just gets bunged in a jersey pocket.
I use a waterproof Nikon. No case needed and always ready for quick action.
As a result I take many more photos than previously.
+1 for the Dashpoint for smaller cameras. Mindshift trail for the big one.
Lowepro AW30 Apex on rucksack strap.
Zip tie for extra security, even though the velcro has never come loose.
