don't get me started. constant struggle with people on stage to get their phones turned off. you are on stage, you won't be answering emails whilst you are up there so TURN THE ****ING THING OFF

I think he should have answered it. That would have been well cool as in "**** you lot, my phone's just rung".
I'd like to think that's what I would have done.

Still, at least he didn't sit there stony-faced pretending that he couldn't hear it, or that it was someone else's phone.

And that's probably the only time I can recall him genuinely smile because he found something genuinely amusing - he gets an extra half a point for that,

He should just have answered it, said "Not now Tony" and hung up.

It was probably the employment secretary ringing to tell him that ''another 10,000 people lost their jobs today and does he have a clue what to do about it.''
