Rogerthecat - When I stayed in Florence, the access road to the old farmhouse was mostly washed away, it was more of a river bed. We used a type two panel van with snow tyres to get in and out. You'd be amazed at how much traction it had.

Can you comfortably get a bike in the back of a Ninety? I've had bikes in a One-Ten before, but i imagine the SWB will be a bit tight? Wheels off?

Not my Pinzgauer, a mate used to work for them and brought it up to the Peaks for the weekend. We didn't see many smiley faces that weekend, other than from some Landy owners doing some off-roading, it appeared to be the best thing they'd ever seen!
