what a coincidence, I was going to ask a similar question.

Ive just bought a new car with the plate R11 CEV - apparently it was for the owner's wife a "V Rice".

I dont want it. Anyone here called "V Rice" and want it for a the price of a tow bar?

I doubt you'll sell it quickly.

Ebay would be the quickest place but probably won't get much money. Other than that you'll just have to list it with one of the plate companies.

I've got: T19HON, bought for a TVR TYPHON that never turned up 🙁

Pay £25 every year in the hope they re-open the factory and build the bugger!

used to have, M4AAD but sold it on ebay

ebay seems to work if you want a quick sale

Loads of places online. You'ld be surprised how little they go for nowadays. Once you've swapped your old plates back might not be worth it.

I would like to have 'B45TARD' as a personalised plate.

Sadly I do not own a car, or even possess a full Driving Licence. 🙁

Buy the plate and hang it loosely from your neck

I advertised mine in a few places but National Numbers got me the best deal by far and did all the paperwork. Made 400% profit too 🙂

I rarely find private plates funny, but did see one on a Newish Porsche that read MR 5 1NCH.

Didn't some bloke get a Cortina many moons ago that happened to have the plate ELV 1S then sold the plate for much more than the car could ever have been worth?

Or is that just an urban myth?

there's a P111OCK somewhere near Shipley

and in Leeds there's a Merc with what looks like YEE HAA but obviously that's not a valid combination

Best one I ever saw was one of these MG hot hatch things (ZR? maybe), BRG with orange trim, with the plate KN03 HED.

I'm having trouble believing that in nine hours, no-one's called you on "WERE" either.

I had a Jaguar with the plate A11 JAG. I sold it for £1000 and thought myself very clever.

Two years later it sold for £15,000. Ah.

There used to be a woman in Southend with the plate BRA 38D on a Merc SL, many years ago though....

Bloke I worked with had a Sierra with A115TAR (AllStar) on it. He tried to sell it to the All Star fuel company, but they weren't interested...
