Toyed with getting some for yonks and now seems as good a time as any. Looking for cheapness but not so cheap you feel every tiny stone on the ground through the flimsy sole. Fancy a muddy woods walk later - dull topic I know...where can I get some today?

Looked at those Screwfix ones but they have to get them delivered in so tomorrow...Go Outdoors do the same for £11 so will get those. Cheers! I’m going for a jump around in shitty woodland slop! 😉

If you don't want to feel every stone or cold feet get some Dunlop Safety Wellies, they will set you back about £50 but worth every penny.
Cheaper option? look at Scruffs wellies from Mad4Tools.

Muckboots for the win. Mine are getting on for a decade old now, are still going strong, and are super comfortable; I’ve done nine mile walks in them with no problems.
I do wear neoprene booties in them, with ordinary cotton socks, though.

Just buy cheap standard wellies and make an in sole out of carpet underlay leftovers.

You're welcome.

As someone who wears wellies 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, I would highly recommend Bekina StepLite X (NOT the safety version). Mid price (ca £50), very light, extremely warm and comfortable and fantastic grip. I have climbed Penyfan in mine in winter conditions when others were using crampons (it really didn't merit crampon usage BTW).

Head down your local agricultural merchants and they should have them in stock

Thanks. That looks just what I'm looking for. My feet freeze in rubber boots and I've often wondered why no one was making them in a a PU instead.

Tut, typical STW "recommend what you've got" response 😉

I did a bit of that with my lad this weekend. Splashing in puddles is totally great.

I did learn that wearing wellies doesn't keep your trousers dry if you get a bit too enthusiastic though.

I think what you need there is a nappy
