Not a classic game, but entertaining nonetheless. Still the same frustrations, but at least there's signs of how to move forward, areas for development.

Of course, Liverpool have lacked a leader on the pitch in the absence of Gerrard, and I think that showed tonight. His coming on transformed the game. Suddenly, Andy Carroll looked like scoring. First half he was anywhere but where he needs to be, tbh. Gutted for the lad that he din't score; that header off the bar mustuv bin absolutely soul destroying for him, with the season he's had. 🙁

Bellamy was a genius signing; his contribution is invaluable. Nasty cut he had there; Collocini's lucky he din't walk for that one.

Still very frustrating though; Liverpool have the ability to play some brilliant football, it's just bin too fractured and disjointed so far. Hopefully they can rally for the second half of the season, get the Suarez situation sorted (and that ban reduced, speshly considering Evra escaped punishment), and get some solid performances under their belts. Top four finish has to be the primary objective. Hopefully those around us will stumble and falter. Chelsea definitely not looking all that potent under Villas Boas.

Definitely need a goal-poacher though. Let's hope Kenny can find someone in the January Sales.

It's a much better integrated team now than it was under Woy, that's for certain. Just shows how much better Kenny is in that respect. Half of them wanted to leave, this time last year.

Nice easy game at Eastlands up next. Another three points for us then, what with out away record. 😀

I stopped supporting them when they failed to field players with a big tash and perm.

My 7 yr old nephew will be very pleased when he wakes up tomorrow. A 'pool nut, can't get enough of it.

I think Dirk Kuyt should grow his hair a bit more, grow a tache and have a proper bubble perm. Maybe a bit 'mullety'; a cool Dutch/Scouse hybrid, little bit porno, little bit scally.

I bet he'd score more if he did.

They all looked like this in the glory years, apart from Emlyn Hughes and Clements and several others.

Keegan and Steve Heighway used to swap grooming tips, so they say.

Seems Liverpool is a club famed not only for it's footballing succes, but also the veritable cornucopia of hairstyles of those who've played for the club.

Here's just a few:

Unabel Xavier:

Many hairstyles, only one Djibril:

Ah! Phil Thompson Hair (and nose) is probably my childhood memory from the Kop (actually, I don't think my Dad ever let us go into the Kop).

like this for Kuyt but more so ??

not a bad result but consistency is your problem but Cpt Marvel may turn things around for you.
Top 4 means being ahead of chelsea or Arsenal as I think Spurs will get a place this year...tough ask and could be a close exciting finish for the final place

I'd say so, Junky. Although I think our Dirk will look a bit more stylish than that, somehow. Mind you, not difficult, is it?

Consistency isn't the problem; we've been playing well for much of the season. It's scoring bloody goals. We've hit the woodwork more than any other club this season. Had more goals disallowed too. Just one of them things, isn't it? Hope our luck turns a bit better soon as.

The stability at the club is infinitely better than at any time under Woy, and that can only be a good thing.

You forgot the worst hair style of all. Can forgive him that though.

Gerrard getting man of the match having came on in the 60oddth minute said a lot.

I think Bellamy deserved it more tbh. He turned the game around with his two goals, and was working like a demon all game.

Scuttle made a fabulous clearance though; proper commitment that. Thought he'd knacked himself!

The new midfielders need to settle and gain confidence. Downing and Henderson look too nervous, they're both good players, just need to find their groove. Adam has a lot of pressure on him, but must stay focussed; he has the tendency to lose it a little bit I think, then he starts making mistakes. I think losing Merrylees affected us a bit more than anticipated; he's great at providing those diagonal crosses, was filling the gap left by Alonso. Mistake letting him go imo.

Just hope Gerrard can stay fit now. And that Kenny can find a poacher.

Not a fan of Henderson tbh. Runs around like a headless chicken with little reward. Is he worth the money Liverpool paid for him? ATM no, but I'm hope I'm proved wrong. Same with Carrol. But as said above our luck must change in front of goal. Our defence is sorted ( Enrique has been dalgishes best signing this summer),just need to put the ball in the back of the net.
