My web hosting is up for renewal and they've pretty much doubled the price (I've been with them for years so it's not an offer ending). I've looked at other options but everyone is shouting about introductory deals making it hard to compare.

I've got 3 websites so would like a combined package but happy to go separate or even bin one of them.

What are people paying on an ongoing basis? Who's cheap outside of introductory deals?

My forum is on hosting.co.uk

We had a couple of service interruptions over Xmas but it's been solid mostly for 2 years now.

Pricing seems good.

I think I pay £35 a year for hosting, DNS and a basic mail package.

I was idly looking at this a few days ago. I found:

https://www.hostinger.co.uk/ - Tenner a year for a single site, £20 for up to 100. Seem to be well regarded. Downside, you have to pay for four years to get the best rates.

https://stacksocial.com/sales/ibrave-cloud-professional-web-hosting-lifetime-subscription - $49 for up to ten sites... forever. Seemingly poor support and not the fastest. But £36 for lifetime hosting of more sites than I'm ever going to need, that's compelling.

... in your case I'd contact your existing provider, see if they'll adjust their pricing rather than lose a long-term customer.

Thanks all. Some good options

Yeah, I've already done that, just waiting on a reply. I wanted to see what I need them to get it down to if I stay

That's pretty good. Actually happy with a 4 year plan if it means the price doesn't go up.

I'm new to all this shizzle and want to build a site - when it says on the hosting sites for basic sites "one website", that isn't limiting to a single page, is it? I don't need many, but a single site with 4 or 5 pages would suit me.

No a website is a collection of pages / functions. What it means you can have one thing with the dots like www.pondo.com and lots of things after the following / slash

Slight thread hijack - ish - but I’d be interested in a good web hosting recommendation from the STW collective.
