I was just listening to the 'child', Ed on Breakfast Telly - and he repeated the mantra "halving the deficit in x years".

Your not halving the deficit, you are halving the rate of increase - so rather than it going up by £500m per day, it will only go up by £250m per day!

Is it just me, or does Michael Gove sound like he knows what he's talking about when he's on telly? Or is he a master of hypnotism?
