Regrettably, the fact this individual happens to be astride a bike shaped object seems to consign us all to the dustbin of public opinon. Interestingly, though, the fact she happens to also to be wearing training shoes didn't get her written off as a runner.
In the past we have managed to get a similarly lazy headline changed when some herbert escaped from the scene of a mugging on another bike shaped object. Mountain Biker Robs Old Man, became Mugger Escapes By Bicycle. Very different representations to the public psyche IMHO.
I'm lost here what is it you're outraged about exactly?
Just saw this on the Cambridge Evening News website with the headline
"Shocking moment cyclist risks her life on level crossing at Waterbeach"
Sums it up about right I reckon and yes she must be a loon

It's just as well her brakes worked.
Cant be too much of a BSO if the brakes worked that well !
And then she turns round to head back the way she came,
Perhaps it's a fun new game and she's gone back to the start to wait for the next train?
...naw, it's just a basic urge to return home immediately upon sharting one's pants.
