Ouch! Heal (no pun intended 😉 ) real soon!
Thats a very camp looking foot
Wow 🙁
Scary sh1te, sorry to hear that nick. Hope you'll get better soon.
Both marina and I send you healing vibes.
Look at the state of that sheet on that stretcher and what's with the blanket on top of the scoop?
crikey... that looks a little bit swollen. Get well soon Nick.
entonox is nearly empty too. Heal well (spd cleat attached to cast?)
Sheesh! Nasty one.
Do we know how yet?
Looks nasty Nick. Hope they don't keep you penned into the hospital for too long!
I know you were complaining about mobility of that ankle on Thursday, wasn't expecting such a prompt diy attempt at fixing it!
Can I be the first to say:
"Holy ****ing shit that looks awful"

Ouch.
All the best WCA!
Doh! Not going to be there today now....
Heal well 🙂
Ouch - I know you admire Martin Donnelly, but that's taking tributes a bit far!
All the best for speedy uncomplicated recovery.
Ouch! get well soon.
In traditional STW ..
MTFU.
(Proper horrible that, proper horrible)
GWS.
Ooofffff. Get well soon mate.
Looks like cat AIDS to me. You're going to die.
Get well soon mate.
Bit of sticking plaster, some brufen and you'll be up and about in no time.
Did you get any photos of the x-rays/CT scan? That photo looks good, but x-rays would be better!
Get well soon though and try not to suffer too much whilst in hospital. Have they said when you can go home?
I have asked to see the xrays and mri scans. I.will post up what ever I get.
Never got to see the scans or x-rays but they have released me early on the strict understanding that I take drugs and stay in bed all day. Didn't seem like a bad demand.
Anyway, a series of pictures taken from my phone from when I first fell and thought my foot looked a bit funny with my sock on, through the one when the ambulance man had removed my sock but I still couldn't see the proper extent, the one MrsWCA to to show me that it wasn't 'just a bad sprain' and then just 48 hours after the operation I was really impressed with how clean, straight and little swelling there is.
Thanks to everyone on here for their support, kind words, piss takes and general STWness.

The last photo is a fracture blister which one of the nurses said was 'very nice' but wouldn't open the cubicle curtains to let in enough light for a good photo. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3088393/

lucky the ladder missed that big pot when it fell.
Bad news is that I broke the ladder so will have to clean the rest of the roof with my cast balanced on the back of a chair 😉
Bit early this, but have you any thoughts whether you'll be back on a bike?
Proper horrible.
I went for a ride tonight and thought of you, you know unable to ride. Can't say that sat very well with me.
Again, GWS.

Very niche! 😉
Healing vibes your way.
they have released me early on the strict understanding that I take drugs and stay in bed all day
Let me guess, you are sat up in a chair downstairs right now, yes?
they have released me early on the strict understanding that I take drugs and stay in bed all day
Sounds like the ideal time to start an undergraduate degree course
but they have released me early on the strict understanding that I take drugs and stay in bed all day
Thank god your out!
Your chances of survival have just gone from zilch to massive in one short car journey 😉
Phew!
ps. drugs is goooood man!
