(I would normally get the train...) but I'm visiting friends who have just moved to Hammersmith (near the Charing Cross Hospital) for the weekend.
It seems that unlike Putney, they can't get a visitor car parking permit for my little car. I'd still have to pay at the parking meter @ £1.10 per 30 mins, 8 hrs for all of Thursday & Friday.
Would anyone know of a better place to stash the car for a couple of days in the vicinity?
Could I ask why you can't get the train in this case?

It's both
a) late planning = a return ticket would have cost £80 when we arranged the dates of the visit and would cost £189 as singles now
b) transporting bike and a TV.
Fair enough!
I think ther's some non-res parking over the way in Barnes. Not sure where, though.
