[Closed] Waterproof jacket for commuting.

I have several jackets purchased as waterproof's, (but all are actually pants)... by that I mean useless. They all let water in.

I need a proper waterproof jacket for commuting. Something I can wear for riding to work, then for the walk into town at lunchtime. I want a hood, visibility and hand pockets. What are my options?

I got a Hagloff 1/2price and nearly bought a Rab recently on a tour of local shops clearance rail. Also got a Rab Primaloft down from £160 for £20! Was 1/2 price, further reduced and I had some vouchers from work....

A guy I did a hill walk course with from Glenmore Lodge reckoned the good old fashioned wax jackets/coats are still way better than today's hitch offerings if looked after. Belstaff & Barbour are currently quite fashionable but I am sure a visit to a proper huntin'shootin'fishin shop you could find something better

Pants worn in that applications are actually called Skants

I'd suggest Paramo too, although it depends how furious a cyclist you are on your commute as they can be quite warm. But its a balance between being to warm on the bike and warm enough off. Check ebay for Paramo Seconds occasionally very bargaintastic.
