It seems some people want threads to just fade away after they posted. I think it's a bit rich to be honest.
Isn't it strange how somethings just leap, unbidden, to the front of your thoughts yet seem completely undecided on why they made the effort? They spend a few minutes occupying your thoughts with their apparent lack of purpose before vanishing back off into the long grass of your mind. The cognitive equivalent of a pheasant crossing the road.

I don't know, I think I'd be inclined to keep looking in other places just so when someone says "it'll be in the last place you can think to look" I could tell them they're wrong.
I think the only reason I stop when I find things now is that the remaining places are ones like the Brexit thread. And I'll be honest, if I've figured out that's where stuff is I'd rather it stayed lost.

Usually relieved that, having popped my head above the parapet, it's no longer my turn to be used for target practice.
Only time I’ve been annoyed was when I posted pics of a prototype full sus fat bike from Intense (I don’t even like the bloody things), no one showed any interest and it disappeared without a post. Several weeks later, someone else posted about it and loads of people were all over it like flies. The temptation to post a link to my previous lonely ‘single’ thread was strong, but like a man, I let it go. 🙂
