[Closed] watching the bbc iplayer from abroad

Do a google on VPN. There are some free ones but also some where you pay. Any should work, but I am about to make same choice and will pay in hope of avoiding ads and improved security.

download them from tvnova, or thebox.biz, usually better quality than watching on iplayer.

Costs $60/year but is well worth it - works really well and allows you to dial in to loads of countries including the USA so you can watch Hulu and lots of other cool stuff.

Tor catchup - do a search.

Use a proxy service based in the UK, loads of them around.

Apparently proxies don't work so well with iPlayer these days.

Used these guys when in France so I could watch ITV coverage of Tour De France. iPlayer worked as well

I was using tor (+ foxyproxy), but now have access to a VPS in UK and with socks5 set up in firefox, you just do ssh -D on command line or in putty.

torrent is the better solution unless you are desperate to watch brit tv at funny hours
