I seriously doubt you are the one and only person who thinks it rubbish.

Starts well, then you get into the middle and then the characters just get tedious.

Stick with it, or turn it off. Watch something else. No one cares...

Netflix is great though. Try OITNB or American Haunting next.

But you watched it all?

Definitely not the only one!

I got to the point where I only finished watching it because I'd watched about three seasons of it and figured that as I'd watched it that far I might as well get to the end. I wish I'd never bothered!

I loved it. I liked the way you got sucked in to liking Walter White getting one over on all the psychos then realising that he was the worst of them all. And the development of the Jesse character was great and unexpected (according to the writers)

I've watched the first series.

Er, that's it. Didn't think it was rubbish, just wasn't inspired to watch any more. Preferred Cranston in Malcolm in the Middle.

One of the best shows I've seen in recent years. YMMV.

Found it dipped a bit in series 1 but then kicked off massively halfway through series 2 and kept going til the end.

Season 4 now.
I watched first two with her but I wouldn't say it is as amazing as people make out quite boring in fact too many filler type episodes....much prefer the wire or g.o.t or spiral

You think Breaking Bads boring but The Wire isn't?

Someone take him outside and shoot him please.

In all seriousness there are some boring episodes but it really picks up after season 1, watching Pinkmans descent into madness was the best part, especially the part when he has to kill someone. Walts character was the least interesting.

😀

I must finish watching it only got about 4 left.

Yeah there was too many filler episodes you get that with long running series though.

yeah awesome prog, as above, a fair few 'filler' type episodes, but in all a really worthwhile watch.

for me it gets a bit too much 'action' based toward the end, and the suspension of disbelief really gets stretched to the limit.

some brilliant character development, Hank is a particular fave.

Only watched this recently, while it had its moments and there was times it was hilarious and shocking at the same time, I'm not sure it really was the best TV show of all time like a lot of people think it is, the ending was pretty disappointing really

But then that's just my opinion

Borrowed the box set from a friend and watched two-thirds of season 1. It's OK but not quite "the best TV series ever made" which many people seem to think. Will try and finish the series but at the rate I'm going it may be a few months to get through the remaining episodes.

Not a fan. Found it very boring. The highlight of one episode was where he threw a pizza onto a roof. Didn't watch any more after that.

Over-hyped for me I'm afraid.

Watched 3 episodes after everyone raved over it. Had to check it was actually the same series they were talking about, pretty poor.

Currently hooked on Utopia

Jesse faking a 'big man' deep, shouty voice throughout, was awful.

I tried but found it too slow, just couldn't get past series 2.

I don't really watch TV, and never watch any kind of series, yet watched this at two episodes a night and loved it. I thought the end of season four was the natural end, and probably would have been a better way to leave it. Series five seemed to just want to tie the loose ends up.

Over-hyped for me I'm afraid

I haven't seen any "hype".. just read that a lot of people liked it. Pretty sure that's not hype.
I've still got this mentality of watching drama series once a week (like Utopia is at the moment, True Detective recently), keeps me waiting and doesn't overdose me on it. Much prefer to watch stuff like that, so if BB was put on a channel once a week I'd probably watch it all.
(How damn good was True Detective though!)

Have top say I almost stopped when we first started season 1, then by about episode 5 we were completely hooked.

Over-hyped for me I'm afraid
I've only heard it "hyped" by mates and only realised it had won so many awards recently.

Liked the first series dragged a bit in the middle but got better again. Caused me a bit of a dilemma coz I don't like stories where the protagonist is a bit of a bastard, but still enjoyed it. Proper good. Cranston will always be Hal first in my mind.

I liked it, but I think I got a bit of 'burnout' watching episodes back to back on netflix and now stuck about 2/3rds of the way through the last series.

Sons of anarchy is my current default "get in from a ride and zone out with food" TV. I think it benefits from having more characters, although some do get killed off rather bluntly, as if the writers know what the last episode in a series will be from the start, then bring in characters to make a story before killing them off after their story's done, but they wait 2-3 episodes too late as they've just been in the background for a while.

House of Cards next.

Some of my work colleagues didn't like BB. I'm not talking to them anymore. This is the best stuff i've seen on TV.

Half way through the last series. I'm holding back on the last few episodes

Well... when I say I'm holding back on watching them. I absolutely loved the whole thing, but Mrs Binners totally lost interest in it, and would go along with all the 'overrated' comments above. So therefore my opportunities for sticking 3 episodes on back-to-back have been curtailed somewhat 😥

House of Cards next.

We've just finished that, after Breaking Bad. Very good.

I really liked Breaking Bad, a lot of friends said that it just gets better and better, which I'd disagree with, peaks and troughs, certainly got seriously dark towards the end, from starting off pretty light, but worth persisting with.

It felt like porn. Pseudointellectual americanized gangster porn that gives little if any honest insight into real meth issues. I enjoyed it of course, but not immensely, left plenty of bad taste.

Can I just say- on the flipside I thought it was utterly shit. Watched the first series and thought no, don't like it at all. Mrshora said the same.

Would I like Utopia?

Given you've got the attention span of a goldfish, and get confused trying to follow the plot lines in Hollyoaks... no

If its decent I'll get into it. BB - I just thought 'no its not working'

Plus there were no exploding helicopter gunships and no one attacking the White House 😉

Utopia is hard to explain. It's beautifully shot and incredibly stylish, brutal, with a conspiracy plot that David Lynch would be proud of. I found it compelling viewing but if you're the sort of person who tends to watch TV in the background or has a distaste for the strange or the bloody then it's probably not for you.

Dunno. I used to think I'd never like Zombie films until I watched Jim Mickle's films.

I enjoyed breaking bad, but agree that there was a lot of filler.

House of Cards was absolutely excellent, and will watch again (my wife hasn't seen it).

I tried Sons of Anarchy, but couldn't get past the hammy acting of the main long haired guy.

Loved Breaking Bad, House of Cards was good too, True Detectives for me started slowly but got very good mid series, and just watched the last [s]season[/s] series of Boss, which was also very good.

Currently waiting for Lovefilm to send me Orange is the new black. Our download speed is generally less than 1mbps, so Netflix is currently out of the question.

I liked it did find it slow a times. I like the way they made it ie from making/dealing drugs to pay for his medical bill to it turning in to greed and cooking just for the money.

I slept through the filler episodes but got completely sucked in after the smothering.

Stuck with it just for Walter. Wish Jesse got killed earlier.

I thought Orange was a pile of poo at first, but after a while I got hooked. There are some great characters and stories. Or maybe I just liked the lesbo sex scenes.
