Where are they?

I aint seen a single one so far this year up here on Skye , probably cant see them for tourists though , apparently the only things more plentifull than midges. Not that I miss the stripey wee barstools, but tis weird.

Normally all fine and busy working for the hive, they then get set free at the end of August to go and get drunk on the rotting fruit and turn into the image above!!!

We saw our first yesterday. Looked just like the one in the picture and was trying to get between me and my fritata. Amazingly it survived.

We evicted some on Friday evening. With a good tail wind they should be with you for your Monday cake break.
