I’ve come to the conclusion that the OP is either Single or too fat to reach over his belly..

To take this on a tangent...

How do people wash the top of their backs? You know, the area that you just can't reach with your hands.

Loofah. Obviously.

To go back to the OP, I came back from today's jaunt with my legs covered in mud and sheep shit. Sheep shit appears to be stickier than gaffer tape. Should I have just let gravity do it's thing with the water I washed my unmentionables with?

Right let's get this clear. Legs or arms or whatever. I don't feel the need to wash every square mm of my body every day (or twice day if I need two showers in one day). Some days I do, some I don't. Ok!? Jeeeeeeezzzzzuuuuuussssssssssssssssss.

No, wash properly.

Can I counter with - I did a long ride yesterday and got covered in dust, mud, sweat, road grime and possibly 'organic matter' as well.  I had a proper shower and washed it all off with shower gel (I'm still not admitting to using a scrunchy shower mitt though)

I then sat in the garden and ate some barbecue with my folks, and then watched an episode of the Bridge, and went to bed. It was quite hot and a little humid, so a bit sticky when I woke up.

I've just had a shower. Do I have to scrub my immaculate pins all over again? What am I removing that isn't water soluble and didn't just run off while I washed my pits n'bits and hair?

T- and proud of it.

Those scrunchy shower mitts - are their days numbered as they are plastic? What's wrong with a flannel?

Flannels are absolute shite. Impossible to work up a decent lather with them and it’s like washing with a dish cloth.

Nonsense. A flannel and a bar of soap is all you need. If you can't get a lather out of that you're doing something wrong.

Is the scrunchy/flannel thing only needed because of the water quality?

Not only - they come in different pastel shades so you can accessorize your bathroom alongside your other smellies and bath bombs.

@bikebouy just to confirm that i'm single but skinny (and hopefully not too smelly despite being a majority T-zone washerer!)

Also didn't expect this thread to run to 3 pages! Seems about 50/50 now between T-zone and all-over washers.

Oh, and I went for a ride yesterday and then washed my legs as they had got mucky. That's them done for another year now...

Legs washed during commute in this morning - win-win for the environment & me:

Evidence from this thread suggests that T zone washers wash greater or lesser parts of their body dependent upon actual need, whereas all over washers wash all over whether or not it’s needed, ‘for the pleasure of it’

Ergo;

All over washers = dirty minded, time wasting onanistic perverts

T zoners = efficient and effective clean human beings

(Just felt that the insult balance needed redressing)
