Evening all,
Currently have a washing machine and separate dryer. Needing to free up some floor space, so currently on the market for a combo unit.
Budget £400 - £450.
Anyone got one?
How efficient is the dryer? - Does it get towels etc completely dry?
Thanks in advance,
Alan.
The main problem I had with one was you can't do a second load of washing while you are waiting on a load drying - and a big load of washing will be two loads of drying.
Got a Bosch 5 year old, gf recently got a modern Bosch. Both great decent machines no problem getting towels completely dry providing you don't overload them.
Tend to run on economy 7 as dryers are energy monsters. Not as good as seperate items but good enough. Obviously don't use the dryer for cycling kit but you may get away with delicate dry on some clothes.
It sounds silly but my washing machine is as much part of my biking kit as anything as it keeps me running though the winter, so not skimped on cheap setup.
PS it takes 90mins to dry a few towels. On the new Bosch it has auto setting which senses when they're dry. Works quite well. I set the delay timer on so it does its stuff over night.
We've got a Hoover integrated one - 8kg wash and 5kg dry so pretty decent at big family washes but never going to be as good as separates. It's model is HDB854D
I think it was £550, but I know the non-integrated ones are cheaper and there is more choice.
I bought one off ebay, 7 year old Zanussi, been running faultlessly for 18months now!
We have just moved house and have a spare Hoover washer dryer. We're in Milnathort just south of Perth if you're interested in a 2nd hand one in excellent condition.
