I'm OK, I have a mobile phone, not a cell phone.

Cheers,

Not watching the video, the words around it are too hysterical. Is it saying you need to turn off geotagging by any chance?

Where's that thread about people you instantly dislike for no good reason? I have a new entry - Russ Ptatohead or whatever his name was. Lasted about 2 seconds of him and that was it.

If you have a cell phone, then paedophiles are hiding under your bed.

To be fair, geotagging/privacy issues are a legitimate concern that some people probably are not aware of.

The links text/video is just very Brasseye in it's execution.

When I take a photo, even in just the regular camera app, Google Goggles has a go at trying to figure out what it is. Presumably it uploads the photo to 4 different Google datacentres which run an algorithm on virtualised hardware spread across 16 different CPUs, intercepted by the NSA during the upload, download and every communication in between, all so it can tag my bike with 'Money Pit'

I reckon cars are equally as bad. They give paedophiles the means to drive around areas looking for houses with kids playing outside them.

Damn - even feet - I mean then they can walk around parks and the like looking at the children playing there.

No the eyes THE EYES, they allow them to see.

Problem solved - blind all males over the age of 10 - that'll learn 'em...

Cheers

I read an article a while back that said something along the lines of Apple being apple to freeze your camera in certain areas- e.g. around important government buildings or sensitive areas.

Edit: Here it is.. http://www.infowars.com/apple-granted-patent-to-disable-cameras-according-to-location/

Should add that it dosen't bother me, whether its true or not.

WTF? Thats just a patent on the idea, no-ones actually using it. Apple probably filed it as a form of patent trolling to stop someone else doing it.

That's the Google Now function. You can switch it off if it bothers you.

For more info log into your gmail account online and select "Account" then "dashboard" then look at location history....

google are clever enough to realise that if you're at one location most of the time between 9-5 during the week, it's probably your work location. Similar for home in the evenings... You can turn it off as above.

Facebook has started emailing me at my work email to tell me what my facebook friends are up to.

If I wanted to know what they were up to I would look on facebook. However, I do find it pretty odd that fb contacts me in this way, as my work email address is not linked to my account in any way, and is not really in the public domain.

I've taken loads of pictures of my knob with geotagging turned on and I've had not once single contact from anyone who wants to molest or take advantage of me.

Can I sue the daily mail?
