I am looking for some safety hook and eyes like these, however I don't want huge heavy duty things as it's just to securely fasten a removable corrugated plastic rabbit run cover (ie, I want something that will hold the cover securely during wet and windy weather, but is easy to unclip when it is fine). I can find the safety style ones easily but they are all 150mm which seems overkill for a 1.5m x 1.5m roof - does anyone know where I might be able to find smaller versions of them (or something else that I could easily clip/unclip).
Thank you - my GoogleFu isn't working today.
I got some lightweight chain, screw-in eye and a snap hook for a few quid from B&Q to do a similar job.
Snap gate carabiners and some chain/bungee?
Screw a coat hook or similar onto the frame and tie some sort of small hoop like a keyring onto the end of a length of bungie. That way if it pings off when you're securing it the bit that hits you in the face isn't sharp or heavy but allows you to have a bit of tension so your plastic doesn't rattle about too much in the wind
Cheers all, some good advice (I especially like the idea about something to tension the roof).
I reckon these are what you’re looking for:
