went to a talk by the guy who flew the vulcan in question, it was great, how they ever got there to drop the bomobs on board i dont know, the planning was unreal, and they were only the reserve crew.

awesome.

An ex RAF guy that I work with was involved in fitting the Martel missile to one of the Black Buck Vulcans but it was never flown on ops.

When I was a 14 yr old skoolkid I saw Vulcan XM610 go down (the one mentioned at the start of the book) It flew over our school before going in.

Went up Scafell pike with the scouts as a kid and will always remember the sight a vulcan flying below me
