Apparently I’ve been nominated for a possible award for Singletrackworld “Best use of lockdown”.

Modesty forbids, but Hannah said I can campaign. Anyway if elected, I promise to add this prestigious award to my LinkedIn trophy cabinet and continue to comment on what is still a global pandemic (booster vaccines coming your way). I recorded a podcast (sort of mini Life Scientific) with Hannah which will be posted presently and was a lot of fun. You’ll even get to hear my deep sultry voice 🤣

I really enjoyed the (still ongoing) Zwift STW race series so although it didn't contribute to solving a global pandemic, it did provide a great sense of community & a bit of weekly structure to what was a bit of an odd time - I voted for Rob.

Edit - there was also a decent amount of wedge raised for some charities along the way.

Soz, TiRed - I'm sure you'll get plenty of votes though!

Are you seriously suggesting that your pandemic research was more useful than my experimentation with onions, gherkins and tinned pimentos in toasted cheese sandwiches?

Chapeau, sir, and my vote is in.

TiRed, thanks for your contributions, both here and in the real world - I even point my beleaguered ITU anaesthetist wife at your posts sometimes for extra info.

If TiRed doesn't win, will there be a ST Towers Riot to overturn the result?

This simple note of appreciation makes it all worthwhile.

Well, clearly, I'd prefer universal adulation, untold riches, and a queue of glamourous women clamouring to hang off my arm, but, you know, it'll do.

Gotta be honest, the toastie thread is right up there. How I reached 50 years of age without trying corned beef in a toastie....😍
