Off to Liverpool tomorrow with Mrs Gee and kids (10 & 12).

Any suggestions on things to do or places to visit please?

We’ve done the World Museum which we enjoyed. Is the Maritime Museum worth a visit?

Yes, if you're in the area. It is a bit olde worlde museum though. Our 3 weren't that fussed by it, but some parts better than other.

Slavery museum is part of it and we went there to see it for a school project.

I still think the ferry 'cross the mersey is quite interesting and different.

Williamson tunnels are fascinating if they're open.

Probably better without kids and in about 4 months' time but: ferry across the Mersey then short walk to Glen Afric microbrewery?

Albert dock is good for a mooch.

Submarine museum across the river, near the ferry station was really good. Great breakfasts too. Albeit I went probably 10 years ago, the submarine bit is probably the same, I don’t know about the cafe.

Just checked with a view to posting a link, submarine museum is shut.
