IT numpty here
had a trouble free existence for a long time with Virgin media mail and my ipad but the last couple of week its been a reet bastid
sometimes it collects the mail perfect and an hour later is tells me my password is wrong
next time it works OK
its now just delivered mails from this morning and straightaway after told me my password is wrong again .
Help what do I need to do
It POP3 if that helps
hi isnt virgin email an imap-able thingy? sort of googlemail with different branding? or am i mixing my ISPs, got virgin email on the ipad and iphone and it works brilliantly, as IMAP
Probably so explain this IMAP thingy and should I be doing this instead of PoP3 ing
as i understand it yes, it means that if you read an email on your ipad, it becomes read on your computer, theyre sort of synced. i think you 'see' the email, instead of 'downloading' it to a specific device.

Thanks foureyes I seem to have it working on the imap now and binned the pop3
