My daughter is off travelling for a month around Europe and wants to take a video camera with her. I know nothing about such things, can anyone advise which models are good and which to be avoided?
I suppose she is looking for something lightweight/portable, easy to operate and at a budget of about £150 to £200.

A decent stills camera will take decent video and expect she'll want/take a decent stills camera anyway.
