Anyone used an online service to unlock their phone? There's shed loads out there, but a lot seem to just take your money and run. Anyone used one that delivered?

Thanks
Guy

If you mean unlocking the phone from one service provider to work with all - Yes. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the site, but my phone was a Nokia 6230. It was a free service. Do a search online.

All I can remember was punching in a model number and IMEI, then it gave me a list of 5 codes to try when powering on without a SIM installed. The second code worked and that was it. It took a few minutes.

can be done for free on lots of sites, though investigate your phone, my g/f's 6300 needs to go to a shop to be done, as none of the free "codes" will unlock it...

Depends on the handset.

With more sophisticated phones you can often download and run free software that will unlock them.
