The recent snowy weather caused me to dig out an old pair of trusty boots and to realise that they are beginning to fall to bits.

I'd really, really like another pair but they haven't been made for about 10 or so years.

Searching on the net, it appears that they are still around in either Japan or Poland, but my Jpanese and Polish is non-existent...

Anyone go to either place or based there?

These are the boots;

I'm kind of resigned to never getting them, but I wondered if STW could perform a miracle.

They are Adidas EQT Badlander Hi or high boots. They also do a Lo version that is more like a shoe, which I'd also like....

Why don't you just buy some decent boots? 🙂

Email me and I'll translate (Polish is my native language). Not today, too many beers to go through.
I'd love a pair myself so the translation guaranteed.

Mrs Matt_bl could help you with a bit of Polish translation if required, but we don't make it over to Poland very often.

Now, what size do you want? All sizes available easily back home. Something like this:
http://www.allegro.pl/item876046502_adidas_badlander_low_r_40_2_3_gwarancja_sklep.html
in all sorts of sizes. I can buy you a pair and get it sent over. No problem.

I knew STW would work!

I'd really like a pair of the Hi boot like version in a 42 if poss, but failing that, a pair of the light brown ones like here;

I think the price is about £50 or so?

My top tip when buying them is get a lighter colour; if you don't like it, the suede-like leather is really easy to dye to the colour you want. I started off with a pair of white boots, then dyed them brown...

Cool, email me your exact details, including postal addy. I'll check for the high ones, otherwise will order a pair. Not sure how much the postqage will be but not much, my wife buys stuff there a lot and gets it send over here (used to be Ingerland, now it's RoI). BTW can you email me at Keyha [at] Interia [dot] pl as it'd be more convenient?
Cheers!
Kris

Ok, fine. The only issue at the moment is p&p which they want some £25 for for a pair. I'll get it sorted as my folks live in Poland and can manage the burden ok.
Some say the sizing is a bit misleading, any truth in it? What would I need if my footware is size 40 (yep, can stand right next to the sink) usually?

Ekhm. I'll be going to Warsaw to make a surprise visit for my girlfriend birthday on the 27th Jan and should have enough space in the backpack to take them back with me (but no box)... Than it would be a case of sending to You once I'm back on the 3rd of Feb.

Adidas sizing is a bit tricky. For example I normally wear size 11 Nike, Puma, Shimano but have to go 11.5-12 for Adidas...

Guys, let's flood Mieszko with the shoes then. You don't mind, do you?

I'm fine with that. Could the OP please contact me with shoe size and link to the ones he wants and we will take it from there. My GF brother has an Allegro account so no problem there. Will check the current £ exchange rate and we'll talk it through. Basically the cost for You will be the shoes price+p&p to get them to Warsaw (standard rate shouldn't bee too expensive) and than about £4 on top of that as that's how much 1st class postage will cost (or standard parcels as they are insured up to £100). Than once I'm back on the 3rd Feb I'll email You and will be in the post on the 4th.

Cheers
Mieszko

Er....

Ok, how are we doing this now?

I've sent an email to Hairychested, but am I doing it through mieszko now?

As far as Adidas sizing goes, I've always gone for an 8 in UK sizes which is an Adidas 42 and I think I'll stick with that.

It's up to You really. Like I said I'm fine with taking them with me on my way back. Will save You the postage cost from Poland to UK, which will be around £20 probably. You will just have to give me the link to exactly the ones You want and I'll get my GF brother to order them. Only downside is You will have to wait till I'm back so will be 3 weeks time from now but will save You around £20...

I've read the auction description and they wrote that they come up large so order size smaller as well.

You can forward the email You've sent to Hairy.

Brought an SLX chainset for Matt_H off here some time ago, he got the chainset and I got the money, all worked nicely.

YG more M now; I've changed my mind about the colour.

Jeez, good job I'm not the leader of an international smuggling gang if I cause so much trouble with a pair of shoes....
