The MoreCash family were lucky enough to attend the morning stadium session at the Paralympics today. Practically full stadium, incredible atmosphere, amazing performances.
I've seen a few great sporting moments in my life, but Richard Whitehead's win in the 200m was the most intense experience I have witnessed - his technique gives him such a poor start, 80,000 people screaming for him to catch up, it was just superb. Even the hard-as-nails MrsMoreCash - who knows a thing or two about overcoming disability - was misty eyed.
And then the runner from Djibouti who took nearly 12 minutes to complete the 1500m being roared home by the crowd in a standing ovation - that is what sport is about.
Hopefully the kids will one day be able to look back on this day and understand some of the greatness we have been honoured to have witnessed.
