Can anyone explain Liam Frays' thought process when he wrote Van der graaf ? I personally think he may have consumed a large quantity of illegal drugs.

"Live a little bit
Have a little laugh
Roll up your sleeves and
Stick 'em on the Van Der Graaff
And watch it float away
She said "never do this, never do that,
Watch where you're swinging that rounders bat"
What do you know?
I could've been MLB"

Very confusing !!!!!

I think it's a quip to his mother or teacher who he felt restricted his playing too much as a kid.. maybe...

I get it now, he is referring to messing about a bit at school and the teacher reeling him in.

Is MLB, mummys little boy ?

This i find very difficult to understand ?

"Complicated and pointless
Thinking of better elsewheres
Low on energy
But never sleeping
Someone call the cavalry
Sniper peeping
Solitude is a place on earth
And I've got a season ticket
We're splitting off like the A57
Cutting my own through the thicket"

Major League Baseball

i.e. if he had been allowed to play with his rounders bat he could have gone on to be a pro athlete!

edit: CURSES!
