Bought a car from a dealership 4.5 years ago nearly. Moved house this year and kept forgetting to change my address on my car's V5. Went looking for it but couldn't find it- come to think of it, don't remember seeing one. Then find the slip from the seller in the car which I should have sent back in 2015. Oops. So I'm about to send it in and it asks for date of transfer - would they know it should have been there so long ago or take it on face value with today's date?
Forget this, in talking rubbish. It should have been sent to me without any action on my part.
First I knew of my similar error was the dart charge people coming after me after I’d not updated my v5 18 months earlier. I sorted that one, but sent my v5 back and prayed there wasn’t a long list of speeding nip’s awaiting me...
