Is there such at thing?

Have little tracking device set up for an elderly relative - trouble with it is it absolutely horses through its own battery so we've tended to attach at little USB power pack to top it up. Problem is - once the tracker reaches full charge the external battery switches itself off. The tracker then runs down with a charger/battery attached that doesn't try to recharge it

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem running a small Arduino project from a USB battery pack, I think the current was too low and it turned off after 10 seconds. I found that if you turn the power pack on by pressing the button for a number of seconds the power off function was disabled.

Obviously may not work for yours but worth a go.
